Tidewater Skanska has received a contract to construct a new highway in North Carolina, in the US. The contract is valued at (USD 94 M) and the customer is the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The project involves an 8.3-km extension of Interstate I-485 beltway, the Charlotte Outer Loop. This includes 20 bridges and 12 box culverts in addition to all the usual aspects of roadbuilding - groundwork, environmental work and safety and signal installations. Work on the project will commence immediately and is scheduled to be completed within 3.5 years. |
