The work consisted of installing more than 1,800, 180-ton capacity piles and the re-driving of more than 25 piles installed by the defaulted contractor.
Underpinning professionals recognized the inherent inefficiencies of the original pile design and submitted a value engineering substitution that proved to be superior in all respects.
The work was performed using state-of-the-art hydraulic pile-driving equipment built in Finland to Underpinning’s specifications.
